I've been sitting here for the past 2 hours or so, goimg over the older postings. It seems that we used to be a much larger/livelier group than are here now. I wonder what happened. We used to get into some pretty interesting discussions, and not just on motorcycling. I guess peoples' priorities have shifted. I don't know. I do know that I don't like it.
I think it would be interesting to find out what happened to some of these folks. It seems that lately Intrudn and I cause the most "disturbances". I know Soju Dave is in Korea (a year this time if I recall correctly). Hogryder's Savage was broke again, I sent him the remaining stock mirror from mine, maybe he'll come back home soon. It just seems that lately, we keep going over the same subjects, have the same debates, and need cures for the same old problems.
So, in order to liven things back up, here are my questions, in no particular order of importance.
1) Did we ever figure out why the bike eats fuses?
2) What was the final decision on the best exhaust/carb set-up?
3) Which oil was the least likely to leak out?
4) Who markets the best accessories for/adaptable to the Savage?
5) Are Hogryder and I the only members here that actually prefer Harleys to metric bikes(any metric)?
6) In case no other members care about any of this, what do ya'll say to trying another get together? Informal, own arrangements, just a ride in, relax/unwind, have a good time get together. Nothing fancy. Our house, at the pond. Let us know when you are coming or will be in the area. Even just passing through. The garage is always open to the riding community.
Ya'll take care. Feel free to answer or not. Just needed to vent some steam. Been putting in 10-12 hour days in the big rig lately, miss riding for fun. We're going to the river lot this weekend. The peninsula where Crooked Creek dumps into the TN River is ours. Feel free to pop on over.
